2008 has been a very exciting and busy year for me. I’ve been fortunate to travel with music across the US, to Japan and the Bahamas, to Slovakia, and of course, to my beloved England. I have had the opportunity to perform/record with some of my favorite musicians including the legendary Randy Brecker, Les McCann, the late and great Hiram Bullock, Tony Grey, Adam Dorn a.k.a. Mocean Worker, Zach Danziger, Chris “Daddy” Dave, Gregoire Maret, John Shannon, Avishai Cohen,Janek Gwizdala, Sean “the Rick” Rickman, Cariad Harmon, James Maddock, Kristina Train, April Hill, Leslie Mendelson, Bob Reynolds & David Ryan Harris amongst numerous others

I’m already looking forward to what lies ahead in 2009….
Firstly, I’ve begun work on the early stages of writing and recording a new studio album that’s going to feature collaborations with some of my favorite musicians. This record is truly going to be something new for me from a musical and production standpoint and I’m excited to share it with all of you who have given me so much support either by coming out to my live shows, purchasing my records or just telling your friends about my music.
I’ve posted a couple of new songs on my myspace page - “I Miss My Home”, and also a live cut, “The Queen of Evasion” from a recent tour in Slovakia featuring Tony Grey on bass, John Shannon on guitar and Martin Valihora on Drums. I hope you enjoy them.
In other recent news:
I Co-Produced and performed on the brand new album “Chasing Shadows” by prodigious bassist Tony Grey (Hiromi, John McLaughlin). The album, which features a host of first class instrumental talent including Hiromi, Gregoire Maret, Lionel Loueke and Chris Dave is available in the USA on “Abstract Logix” and in Japan on “Ward Records”. We’ve performed several shows in support of the record including “Open Jazz Fest” in Slovakia, Scullers of Boston, and the Cotton Club (Tokyo). Click here to purchase the album
On the Singer/Songwriter tip, I am Co-Producing the debut album by the gifted NYC based songstress Cariad Harmon. The record, Co-Produced alongside the multi talented Producer/Engineer Chris Abell, features Cariad’s exceptional songs and is to be released soon. We’ll keep you posted on the record. It’s been great to perform on several new remix albums featuring the work of Billie Holiday (SONY LEGACY) and Johnny Cash (COMPADRE RECORDS). Most recently I performed a bonus track with vocalist Yuka Takara on the cast recording of “ A Chorus Line” (SONY JAPAN). Last but not least, I was delighted to lay down some keys on the forthcoming album by the phenomenal NYC based Singer/Songwriter James Maddock, to be released later this year ( click here to see a video clip of us performing James’s masterpiece “When the Stars Align” together at NYC’s Rockwood Music Hall). Other highlights from 2008 include a performance at the Norwalk Jazz Festival on a shared bill with Kirk Whalum and Roy Haynes, shows aboard the Mayercraft Carrier with Bob Reynolds Band supporting John Mayer, a show at the Lincoln Center with Mocean Worker in a tribute to Joel Dorn, UK tour with bassist Janek Gwizdala (including Bass Day on a shared bill with TM Stevens, Richard Bona, Hadrien Ferraud), a performance with Blue Note recording artist Kristina Train at Joe’s Pub, as well as ongoing solo artist performances at my favorite NYC venues – the 55 BAR, and the Rockwood Music Hall.
